NGSCB: Credential based security using hardware enforcement

Mittwoch, 01.10.2003

Abstract...

Next Generation Secure Computing Base (NGSCB) describes the technology and the related development efforts that Microsoft is undertaking to provide customers a safer and more trustworthy computing environment. Microsoft is building base-level software components, including a new operating system module called a nexus that will enable more secure interaction with applications, peripheral hardware, memory, and storage. This session introduces the key technical ingredients that comprise a NGSCB system, including both hardware and software components. The session covers how these new ingredients contribute to the NGSCB features and scenarios.
